Went out for a coyote hunt this morning and set up my call and decoy. I sat down and waited a couple of minutes and let out one call. That's all it took as a coyote must have been sleeping alongside the creek and came running within seconds. He was around 100 yards when I first saw him and by the time I got turned with the gun up he was at 50 and let the first round go. He took off and the second shot cartwheeled him at 120 yards. The hunt was over faster than it began, gotta like it when a plan comes together. He was a male around 40-50 lbs so that should save a fawn or two this spring.

The morning view

The call/decoy set-up. Lightening Jack was the sound for his last breakfast

Maybe just a bit more than I needed. But it keeps my .270 with 150 gr. Hornady sighted in.
