My youngest son and I went out for the first turkey hunt of the year. We didn't have to wait long as 7 of them came running right over for him. I got a great video of him taking his first Tom and footage of the other 6 jumping around cackling and gobbling for 2 minutes after he shot. We waited for them to finally move off and then went over to check out his bird. We measured him up with 1" spurs, 8.5" beard and weighed in at 21.5 pounds. The tail had a great couple of white jagged lines down the middle. Not a bad way to start off!

Hope everyone else has a great turkey season too.

Fantastic post.

Thanks for sharing. I had been meaning to get a turkey thread going for 2021, so I am glad that you did. Great start for you and your son.

Congratulations to your sons success.
Although he may shoot many others (even larger) , he will always remember his first one.
