I have a Navionics chip for my boat fishfinder. Is there any way I can put to use on the ice?? Some sort of handheld unit maybe??

Thanks

Take a look at the Magellan 510 or 610. Both will accept the Navionics card as long as you have the MicroSD card. They do a great job of displaying the mapping.

Are the navionics chips compatible with my Explorist 500 LE? It does accept a micro SD.

They only work with the Explorist 510, 610, and 710. The "older" units are not going to have the software to run the charts.

Husky_Jerk: Unfortunately the Garmin doesn't read the Navionics charts. I have used the Magellan 610 on the ice and it is excellent!
