Quinte Fishing

Well....after long debate, and changing my mind 20 times, I found a deal on a min-Kota 55 with I-pilot and universal sonar for 650.00 unused on kijiji.
I had an 80lb terova in my cart at Sail on Father's Day when they had their no tax sale on, but at 1250.00 I just couldn't pull the trigger.
I'm trying to get rigged up to down rig on the big lake this year too, so it just made more sense right now to scimp on the bow mount, and spend a bit on rigger rods, flashers, flys and on and on....figured at worst case I should be able to get most of it back if I find it to be under powered putting it back on kijiji.
To date I've been out 3 times, and had the motor down for about an hour each time before hearing "looks like they're not biting, let's get out the wakeboard" from my 2 teen aged sons...
So far it seems to do what I need it to. The anchor feature if amazing!!! Haven't had time to try out everything else it can do....kinda like my smart phone. Lol

I looked at the motor guilds, and they do look like great units. My sonar is too old to take advantage of its features though, and I can't justify upgrading that this year too.
