I have the humminbird 587ci, i recently purchased the fish'n'chip from radioworld. My question is when I plugged it in to my unit, I was out fishing in collins bay and lake ontario (around Kingston, ON) and all i could se were the contour lines, but there was no information on depths anywhere. striclty contour lines. is this all the fishing chip is I thought it had depths too? Do I need to change a setting or something?

cheers,

mike

The FishNChip is a contour based map, but I beleive it should have some spot soundings on it. Press Menu twice and scroll over to Chart then scroll down to Spot Soundings and make sure it is on Visable not Hidden

Actually they default to Hidden for some reason. We get this question a lot so I figured it would solve your issue.
