i have a minn kota power drive equipped with the co pilot.it is 7 years old and it appears it is no longer getting the signal or receiveing the signal from remote.Foot control still works wether it is hooked direct to the motor or through the co pilot.changed the 3 volt battery in the remote no change. im assumeing the remote itself is done but could it be the reciever.your thoughts.

It really could be either or in this case. Battery is the best bet to try, but since that didn't solve your problem I'd get in touch with your local Minn Kota service center on this one. The Prop Shop in Kingston is going to be your closest (assuming you are in the BOQ region). They should be able to pinpoint the problem and let you knwo what needs to be done to fix it.
