Hey Lawren,

I have an Eagle fish strike 2000C that I have been having trouble seeing any real detail below 30 feet or so....I think we had spoken about it before and you suggested seeing how the screen looked with the sensitivity turned all the way up. I made it out this weekend to Quinte and took a picture. This is 100% sensitivity but I am still not seeing enough of what I think I should be seeing. Will a new transducer correct this? If so, do you guys have the correct one I need?

Thanks for the help!

Brian

I assume you are in about 16-18' there? Aside from reseting the factory settings I'd recommend trying a new transducer. If you know anyone with the same transducer try your unit on their boat. Just about any Lowrance/Eagle made in the last 10 years should work aside from HDS, LMS, or LCX units.

Its a 50/50 chance its the transducer or the unit. So rather than buying a new one, I'd see if you can save the $80 first and confirm that is the issue with another known good transducer or try a friends unit on your transducer.

We have the transducers in stock if you need one

Thanks for the help, I was actually in around 60 feet fo water or so, if that makes a difference. I didn't realize that almost any transducer would work, so I'll have to see if I can find one to play with.

Thanks for the help!

That might make a difference...The reason I asked is it looked the depth was greater than the range it was set at. So if it was 65', your range was set to 60' and therefore no bottom would show up. I doubt this is the problem in your case as you mentioned after 30' you lose the bottom. The reading you are getting just looks odd thats why I asked.
