The new HDS units have a video input in the 9 and 12 size units.

I heard that Lowrance was going to release a camera that could be used in conjunction with the HDS units. Is this true? Has this been released?

If not, I am interested in the best camera to use with the HDS Touch units. I was thinking of the GoPro Hero 3 with the diving box, the Acqua-Vu Micro Plus or a Marcum underwater camera. What have people been happy with??? What have people been UNhappy with????

On those units you will need to purchase a video adapter cable that adapts your power cable so it can accept a RCA video input.

At this point Lowrance doesn't have a camera for it and I have no word on whether or not one will be coming.

The most popular cameras we have sold for this are the MarCum and Vexilar ones as they tend to be the most durable. I haven't seen the Go Pro diving box but it would need to be wired to the unit some how. If you can send me a link I'll tell you if that will work or not. The AquaVu micro's wouldn't be the best choice because the cameras are very small and you would need to modify them for them to work well while idling around.
