Last year i purchased a transducer, power cord, battery and charger for ice fishing with my Lowrance LMS-522c. I no longer have the 522, but still have the ice accessories. My question is whether these items will work on any of the currently available Lowrance units, as i know the 522 is no longer available. My preference would be one with an internal GPS and a slot for my Navionics card. Some advice on what units would work would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, i would gladly buy a used 522 at a reasonable price (loved that unit).

They will work with just about any new Lowrance unit but some may require adapters. If you go with the HDS5 that would be your best bet because it takes the same size card as the LMS units did and all the connections are the same. The gimble bracket is different though.

Lawren,

Thanks for the reply. The nav card i have is actually in the humminbird on my bass boat. Its a 898 i think, with side imaging . I want to use the card for ice fishing as well and assumed it would work in any chartplotter that takes a card. No?

For the most part yes, but there may be some that are incompatible. Any newer Lowrance or Humminbird should work but keep in mind that some units take SD and others take MicroSD so it all depends on what format you have.

Lawren,

I understand. Thanks very much for all your assistance. Hope to make it to your store and get geared up!
