i have a flasher :
sitex sh-2
it is a 200khz transducer
depth settings are
0-30 ft
then x's 2 =60 ft
x's 4 = 120 ft
then:
D x's 1 ='s 240 ft
D x's 2 ='s 480 ft
my ? is @ 0-30 ft or 0 -60ft would this unit
be ok for ice fishing
i think this unit was bought in 1983
used 3 times then packed and
set on the shelf sealed in the box it came in
any info would be nice

Sorry for the late reply...just getting caught up after all the trade shows.

I'm sure that unit will work fine for you. The only down side to using the older units is the screen resolution. That one is probably around 50-80 vertical pixels. The newer units have around 320 now. This translates into much finer resolution and you'll be able to mark your lure and fish with more accuracy.

i tried it & it seemed to be ok
i could watch the lure and marks were fish [i think]
although no takers
i had to try it
@ the lowest 30ft setting
