The iPilot Link has always worked in Canada. The feature that does not work on lakes that are not covered by Lakemaster Charts, follow the contour, will still not work. This holds true for lakes in the US as well as Canada. There is Lakemaster Charting available for Lake Erie in Canada and I have personally used this feature but didn't find it all that useful anyways for the type of fishing we were doing.

What I found much more useful for the iPilot Link is the Ethernet connection to the Humminbird GPS on your boat. This allowed the iPilot Link full access to waypoints on the Humminbird. Using this feature to go from waypoint to waypoint was much more useful because every time we had to cross several contour lines to get to our next spot. In situations where you are fishing a steep break the follow the contour would be useful I'd imagine.

If you are set on use the follow the contour feature this will work with Humminbird Autochart maps. These are the maps you create yourself by doing a local survey of the area and then the map is created on your computer (or right on the unit depending on which model you have). These maps are compatible with follow the contour so there is a work around.

Oh Ok, Is there a lake master map for bay of quinte and lake ontario ??
But you can do all this except for the follow contour lines with just the i pilot right ??
only need link feature for following contour lines.

My understanding is you pay the extra money for the link for the contour line follow feature.
