I am planning on purchasing the Helix 5 Sonar/GPS Combo + NAV unit from Radioworld. The unit will be installed on a Lowe ST170. I am looking for some options on installation. I want to be able to move the unit between the bow and the helm. Based on the fishing I do I only need the traducer mounted on the stern (don't need another transducer on the trolling more).

With the accessories you have how would I configure the installation. Do you do installation at radioworld?

Thanks - Ryan

All you'll need for that is a power cable and mounting bracket. You'll just install the unit at the helm like normal and then install the other power cable and bracket at the bow. When you want to go up front you'll just move the unit up there.

My recommendation is to install a transducer on your trolling motor as well though so you have a depth sounder there as well.

We don't install but have an installer in the Barrie area that we recommend. Not sure if that'll work for you though assuming your in the Quinte region
