I Run a Raymarine C90 W next to the DI 1159. The picture on the C90 clearly showes the trolling Sharks off the riggers. Remarkable picture but its getting old and uses a lot of power. I have tryed and tryed to set the 1159 in Di but can not find any setting to show the 17 lb shark. In 2 D i can somtimes see a very a faint line representing one rigger. Is it just a cheep Transducer that came with the Hummingbird or am i missing the set up marks . Thanks

I find those units work best in Auto and set to factory defaults as a starting point. Then just ensure you have the Switchfire mode set to Max and if you have to increase your sensitivity a little. Which transducer are you using with your Raymarine?

So that said the picture will never match in Detail,Also I am looking at an autopilot system for the main engine. I will need a good card for the Hummingbird probably the Navieonics Plus.?? I want to get the new Raymarine EV1 course Activator and Control head coupled with the Octopus Autopilot and use the Hummingbird for the GPS ??? What do you think. Thanks Radioworld.

The P66 is a very good transducer so it will be hard to match that quality with a stock transducer. You can get a P66 for the Humminbird directly through Airmar if you want to explore that option.

Navionics+ is the way to go for mapping on the Humminbird. Take a look at the mapping on Navionics website webapp. You can view it all there before you buy it.

I think you are on the right track thinking the Humminbird for GPS and the Raymarine coupled with the autopilot for your sounder. The only think to keep in mind is if you want to run a route and sent it to the autopilot you'll have to do that on the GPS portion of the Raymarine not the humminbird.
