I'm having trouble with my Motorguide trolling motor. On Saturday when I went to use it it would just 'click' and sounded like it wanted to turn but wouldn't rotate. When I got it home I turned it on to troubleshoot and when I started on low speed and then went to high it worked fine. Then, Sunday I went out again and it worked for about five minutes and then started doing the clicking thing again. It would very slowly rotate on low speed, but as soon as I went to have half speed or higher it would click.

I attached a video of the clicking on high speed. Of course, out of the water when I went to low speed and then highspeed it works fine. However, I don't want it to do what it did last time and stop working after five minutes. https://youtu.be/AE8VHG81aiY

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You could call the fine gents at The Prop Shop, They may take a look at it.

Mserviss,

Stupid question, but did you take off the prop to see if the shear pin broke?

Checked the shear pin and it was fine. Tightened back on and it worked fine the last time out. Maybe it was loose and depending on how the pin sat, it would either work fine or make the clicking noise. Thanks for the tip Batman.
