Hey guys,

Looking for a little advice on what type of harware for salmon/bows on planner boards.Generally fishing 30 fow.Spoons/ flashers/ flies/ on riggers but not too familiar with the boards, any sugestions?, thanks in advance for the feedback.

There is more salmon info on this site than you could possibly think of.

I have a set of Church tx44's and they are great. No extra clips needed. The stock stuff is great. I'm not sure what you are using to get down to 30ft but I pull a 450ft copper with them with no problem. They say you can pull a large dipsy with them too but i've never tried.

I have been using 5 colour leadcore ,with Apex lures and Rac spoons
Worked great for Browns,Rainbows,and small Salmon.I fished this
set-up on boards out 100 ft.to the side.

I wouldn't fish boards out more then 25 feet fishing the st.lawrence (depends where you are, of course). Just too much boat traffic, if your out the big lake, have at it.
As stated in precision trolling, remember at 25 feet on each side, you have aprox a 56 foot trolling spread.

I fish out of Wellington in Lake O where the water now is
very clear and the further out the side you are the better.

thanks fireball.
you are correct I am on the st. lawrence but performance boat going away this weekend summer over. then time to fish big lake (port hope) do not use boards often only tackle i use is lymans and j-13 on the boards for salmon still trying to learn more.
