Gees that Kevin. Every time i show him a hot spot and techniek he runs right out and makes a fishing show...Just kidding bud nice show...

On a more serious note i fished these quite a bit this summer off the weed beds at thompsons and done very well with them. Often i would just let go to bottom and then start a light jerk retrieve and BINGO fishy on...

Hey thats the spot Dave Thompson and I Passed off the rod to a young first time fisher in canadian Waters,

Mateo Came from Brazil, Had never fished in Canada before, When the First rod fired, Young Dave grabbed the rod, and passed it too me,
I Looked at Mateo, who was texting a friend in brazil and had no idea what was going on, I told him he was up and passed him the rod...

Well The whole year leading up to this Day, Dave suggested he wanted to Beat his PB on his boat. That would be a 10 pound Eye.

Mateo Finnaly Gets the fish to the boat and I Watched Daves heart Sink...

He knew before we weighed it, That would have been his PB on His Boat....

Mateo Got spoiled with his first ever Canadian Fish, With a 10.5 pound walleye.

To this day I still do not believe Mateo knows what he caught.

I Claim This to Be Dave Thompsons Spot....

As the rest of the Day proved, it is also a great spot for sheapshead....

Go get 'em boys....

~Jeremy.

I've used them for bass with some success, catching the odd walleye. Try them texas rigged on a swimbait hook, and you can get right into the weeds. On the Kawartha Lakes, being so weedy, you can catch Walleye using bass techniques.
