I read an article in a magazine from a Frabill Prostaffer about hooking your minnow upside down. It drives the minnow crazy being inverted, and it thrashes around like mad triggering fish to strike. I believe he said minnow tipped on a jighead, but would probably be alright on a deadstick to add a little bit of action. Definitely worth a shot.

I read this technique in an article a few weeks ago as well. I gave it a shot the other night as the bite was very finicky. (they just sucked the tail). I thought of that article and hooked the minnow through the tail and had success within five minutes.

old post but use nail clippers and try clipping one of the fins off the side of the minnow it cause it to swim erratically and create lots of movement.

this trick of upside down minnow does work. The minnow tries to swim up or away in a frenzy. Great for attracking attention to weiry eyes. Best way is to dead stick. Cheers
