I am having a terrible time with fake frogs. Does anyone have that problem? Or am I doing it wrong? Is there a way proper way to use it?

You never mentioned your technique so it's impossible to comment on if your doing it wrong.
I pitch them out onto lily pads and just kind of vibrate them from one pad to the next with little tugs, working my way toward open spots of water, usually get the hit as it enters the water, had a couple hit it while on the lily pad.
Hope this helps
Cheers Rob

There is trailer hooks you can buy, that work actually extremely well and not get hung up...
I often cut trailer strings shorter, and bend hooks slightly up. I prefer medium or small size frog, vs bigger ones. The old 1,2,3 set the hook. Diffently works, but for me short strikes is biggest issue. Keep a pitching bait ready to fire into areas where you had a missed blow up.

I had a couple of Capt Ken's frogs and they worked really well. The hookup ratio was much better then any other I've ever tried. I lost them, they were like $30 a pop at that time. But now I've heard they have a $10 version I'll make sure to give them a try when they starts frog bite this year.
