Hit the highway at 4 a.m on Thursday for a 3 day adventure in Adolphus Reach staying at the Sportsmen Motel trying to beat our PB from 2 weeks ago at 11.2 pounds. Fished all day Thursday from 7-4 between Keith's and the Bat Cave but only managed 2 smaller fish weighing in at 3-4 pounds. Friday was looking like a good day, as the winds were forecasted to be pretty low, so we figured we'd drive up a bit further and fished between Prinyers and the Bat Cave. We trolled around from about 7:30 to 10:30 just washing lures. We did have a bit of action on the fishfinder though.

After a day and half of not catching anything worth talking about, and only a day and a half left, we figured we'd move and try somewhere else, so we cleared the lines and decided to head back to the ferry, where there were no boats in sight. (probably because of the fog
) It was approaching 2 p.m and we were still trolling around without a hit. With only about 2 hours left of fishing, it was lookin like it was going to be a SKUNK for the day. Well........after a bit of praying, one of the linecounters started zinging, and it was "fish on" We landed an 8.4 pounder on a Eriedescent Reef Runner over 110 FOW.

That put a smile on our faces!!!! We kept trolling, and about 20 minutes later the other rod starts zinging. It was actually the first time I've seen the board drop back. I pulled the rod out of the holder, tightened the drag, and the board pretty much disappeared. I was thinkin PB for sure!!! Brought the fish to the boat, and landed it, and it looked like this.

12.5 pounds, and a new PB!!!!! Fish was caught on a Perch TDD11 roughly same area, same depth. Trolling speeds varied all day, but both fish were caught at 1.9 mph.
Woke up Saturday morning, and the wind forecast didn't look to good for us with the winds coming from the West/NorthWest, so we decided not to go out. Probably could've got a couple hours in first thing in the morning, but figured it wasn't worth it, and packed up and went home.
We lost our 3rd day of fishing, but all in all we had a great couple of days on the water, and accomplished what we were looking for with a new PB.
