Some is skimmed over. Depends where you want to fish but u can for sure launch at the ferry and fish picton bay or east of the ferry. Picton harbor is building ice as I type likely

as long as you launch east of Picton you should be fine. Remember keep a eye on the weather if the winds are high things ice up quick. As well 4 Wheel drive for launching, bring some salt or dirt for the launch and maybe a blow torch to un freeze your bunks. Remember Fishing this time of year is on another level be prepared for the worst of conditions even if they are calling for nice weather. As well Flotation suits are a must. NEVER GO PAST YOUR COMFORT LEVEL. STAY CALM FISH ON. NO WALLEYE IS WORTH YOUR LIFE, WELL MAYBE A 15 POUNDER.

GOOD LUCK. BE SAFE.

I too want to get one more shot at the Bay of Quinte this year and am thinking about heading down to fish on friday, November 29.... forecast says sunny and light winds which at this point in time sounds good.. I would like to concentrate on fishing from the Ferry to Keith's Shoal to the Bat Cave... I would think the launch at the Glenora Ferry would be a good option ???

I've heard that there is about 1" of ice in Picton Harbour now, so that eliminates the Picton launch.
Ferry launch should be fine (for now) but ice will move in quickly.

Please be careful with ice flows out there if you do not know the area. If winds change direction a large amount of ice can make it impossible for you to get back to your ramp. Always have back up plans in place of how to get off the water safely if an ice flow jams up your original launch location.

Great point. Very good idea to have an idea of other launches and back up plans if your ramp becomes inaccessible.

my advice to you is if you live 9 hours away likely you dont know the water, ramps, winds, etc,to be fishing this time of year.i would get a guide if you must go out and you will be a hell of alot safer.most of the guys going out this time of year are very experianced and no the waters and the conditions of ice moveing and ice built ups on equiptment and so on.be cafefull and good luck
