My best suggestion is to lock everything up real good .last thing you want is all your gear gone again !!!! And save yourself the trouble. Get a proper heater. One that isn't going to kill , blow or set you or your hut on fire !!!!!

Be careful with that thing, they give off straight carbon monoxide , I had a close call with one of those propane stoves a few years ago , they are not meant to be used as a heater , be cautious.

Get yourself a Mr Heater. The only way to go. If you want to heat your food up, make a little wire bracket out of a cloths hanger. Those colman heaters are no good. I bought one of those mushroom looking colemans, waste of money, not much heat and it gave me a headache.

yes they dont give off much heat and yes ya have to watch out for air quality, but its all i have..also trying other ideas and looking for a better heater for a good price.this is not going to be left on the ice in a perm hut by any means....id like to get a proper heater but im a BIG diy guy...perhaps if i find a better heater at a fair price ill jump on it.
this year i wont be going on the sort of ice i have in the past.just dont want to take the risk rather just have a safe and easy hardwater season

i scored a 2man hut on loan for the season, its just me most times so im pimping it out...as close to a cozy cabin as i can get.might be also doing some winter camping on moira lake this year....havent winter camped in years....or maybe just rent an overnight hut ,either way im 'campin out' somehow this year....the overnight hut rental idea is seeming like a good way to go tho,no fuss no muss

If your plan is to heat your hut with that contraption, you might as well stoke a camp fire. Just saying..
Don't take foolish chances with your life to save a few bucks. Buy something used if money is tight.

Crazy, are you trying to kill yourself? Portable buddy going on sale tomorrow at princess auto for $90. The regular price is $129 there which is higher then other stores. But still a good deal on sale. I have one of those camp burners as well....use it for cooking not suicide. I bought my Portable buddy off someone on kijiji for $60. keep checking there or post a message on there and the buy and sell here saying you want to buy one.
