Hi new to the forum

Hey guys...I recently bought a used boat with another friend and we plan to fish in the quinte waters. I am definitely a noobie when it comes to both fishing and boating. Any tips on etiquette would be appreciated. Thanks

tip number one, start fishing these waters next spring, not now. Tip number 2, refer to past pages on the thousands of informative strands on this board. welcome aboard you have all winter to study and learn!

Tip #2 Grizzly owns the Bay. You may want to ask him for permission before going out fishing on his Bay. :wink:

Welcome to the board. Those are 2 very broad areas to ask for tips on. I would suggest a good starting point would be looking through the "Tips and Tricks" section on this board, there are some good threads there that should get you started. If you have any specific questions, ask away, there are always board members willing to help out a new boater/angler. Good luck with the fishing.

Happy fishing. always room for a newbie on MY BAY...... saying that you might wanna get the ice gear ready and save the boat for spring, this time of the year is the time for the experianced and even they can get into trouble out there. this is definatly not the time to break in a new boat. a good tip mgiht be to spend the winter perfecting your jigging tecnique as that will come in very handy for you come spring. as for fishing in a boat now... if i were you i would listen to the advice,study your prey and attack in the spring

welcome wandres. Great forum here, you will learn alot. Read back in the forum and you will pick up lots of good info. Get your ice gear ready, should hopefully be an early ice up this year

Grizzly is a hairy bugger but it is his Bay, take his advise always, put the boat away till spring and get out you ice fishing gear !!!PS Dan , I'm not impressed with Sea,s the Day Fishing hot linking from your forum.
