He has the rest of the year for school, so i brought my son Reid up from NY for our last day in the boat this year and our only trip up this fall. Went out to the bat cave and set lines, took about 1/2 an hour and inside board takes a hard hit on reef runner grey ghost back 150 with 14# fire line. After ten minutes he has his personal best eye in the boat for quick pictures and weight, then away she goes. Little guy hung in there for about 5 more hours waiting for another fish but that was it. Only one today but still awesome. 30 1/4 inches and 10 1/2 pounds.

What a joy it is to see the smile on his face. Congrats for taking him out fishing for a big one.

You might have to change that little guys name to Smiley. Good job getting him out and onto that fish he will remember that day forever...

Love it!!! Took me about 30 years of walleye fishing to accomplish that, and it just happened about 3 weeks ago...lol
