Had a great (but way too short) trip to BOQ this past weekend. And of course, had a blast at the Perfect Vue. I thought I would share my experience and get your input.
It's been many a year I have been a dedicated Fire Line user on BOQ, but I think those days are over. Went out on Saturday morning and kept watching others pull 'em in one after another while my livewell lay empty. The bait... the spinner... hmmmm... not a chance they were the cause.
After one heck of a fish fry on Saturday (TY Fatman and the others at PV) and a few pops, I realized it must be something else. So I headed out on Sunday morning using another rod armed with Fluorocarbon line and the same spinners. The results were devastating! Two decent walleye, two drum, a real nice northern, and even a LM bass in a matter of an hour. The other had their share of action as well.
Was it dumb luck? In years gone by I might have said yes, but I'm not so sure right now. So off with the Fire Line and long live Fluorocarbon for me.
Later,
