Hi Folks!

Just wanted to let everyone know that County Shores (formally Foster's Fishing Centre) officially opened today for the Winter Season! We have Paid Parking at the Shore, Bait, Tackle, Licenses, Snacks, Coffee, Heated Washrooms and House Keeping Accommodations for you this Winter Season!

The Parking is 24 hr Self Serve. Just use the Secondary Entrance at the Office/Store and use the envelope payment system just inside. There is also enough room to put on your gear where it is warm! Parking is $5.00/day/Vehicle

We presently have Medium Mud Minnows in Stock and will be stocking Small to Large Muds and Small to Large Shiners after Christmas! We have Ice Fishing Tackle in stock and more is to arrive very soon!

I have not been out to check the Ice myself but there were 4 anglers fishing at Buoy Q42 this afternoon plus some huts just to the north-west of the buoy ... so I am assuming that the ice is safe out there? If you are going out you will need to check the ice for yourself.

Our Store Hours are:
Mon to Thurs 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Fri: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Sat: 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sun: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Cheers and Tight Lines!
County Shores
Todd Foster

We are located on the Northport Road in Prince Edward County. 2281 County Road 15 (Northport Road), Prince Edward is the Civic Address. By Water we are about 1 kilometer west of Telegraph Island. Buoy Q42 is directly off our shore. Checkout our Website www.countyshores.com or follow us on facebook.

Lar - Thank-you for the reply and well wishes ... and the FIRST thing (among Lots of others) that changed here was the attitude. My staff and I strive to make your Fishing, Camping or RVing experience the best possible.

Todd all the best of luck with the bussiness. We will be using your service for sure, a bunch of us travel up from Gananoque. Years ago we always fished there when it was Fosters.

Never assume the ice is good out there..... Most dangerous stretch in the Bay In my opinion. Safety and spudding are a must out there with thickness changes currents and so on. If you go through in the narrows ur not coming back out. Not saying don't fish...... just use a lot of added caution. Remember average winters that water never freezes.

Thanks WalleyeWonder! This is very good advice not only at our place but all places on the Bay! Whenever going on the ice here it is highly recommended that you go directly toward the Red Buoy and Always check the ice regardless if others are already out there. It is one of the best fishing spots on the bay but the ice is tricky. Guys that went out this morning reported a 9 lb and and 11 lb.

Curious, are you able to walk out, or do you need a sled or atv??

The guys were going out with ATV's today. With Saturdays mild temps forecast you will have to re assess the ATV option again then but still should be good. It is 900 meter form the parking lot to the red buoy majority of guys walk out.
