First of all Merry Christmas to everyone. My house was out of power, so the wife and kids headed to the inlaws for the day while my father and I headed for ice at potters. We left hamilton around 10 am and after stopping at Protackle for some minnows we were jigging at Potters by the green buoy at about 2:15 pm. At 4:10 my dad says he has a fish-on; seconds later he has a 6 pound walleye on the ice, a new pb for him. 20 min later i hook into a 2.5 to 3 pounder. Hoping to get one more, we press on and a 5:30 my dad hooks into another quinte eye, just over 7 pounds. That was a new pb for him and his second of the day. At 6:00 we call it a day after one of our best hardwater days on quinte. The 6 and 7 pounder were caught off a gold and orange buckshot and the smaller eye was caught off a gold and orange sidewinder. The ice was about 8 inches thick and there were about 15-20 anglers out on monday. Be safe everyone and enjoy the hardwater season. Dan
