Hey guys,
Need a tip on a perch spot.......not asking for your best hotspot or such, but me and a friend would like to take his 5yr old son out and a nice perchy spot would be fun for the little guy.we hope potters is a good place.good and safe ice.but whare?or someware else better for perch?
Send a pm if you could, wont be a regular spot that gets fished out, just a day out with a kid
Thanks to anyone that lends a hand here.
if you have any tips for perch that would help, cause ive never targeted perch myself.

I've never targeted perch, but it seems no matter where I go, they are there. I typically fish Big Bay, but they are all over the place. I haven't been out yet this winter, but I'm sure it's the same.

Your probably wanting to stay close to home, but Rice, and other areas not too far from Quinte, also have perch and other panfish....some have kid friendly events on family fishing weekend which is coming in Febuary....., heres the link http://www.ontariofamilyfishing.com/license-free-days/

I've had great luck out from Sherman's Boat Ramp in 14-20 fow... A little further to drive for you, but we always catch lot's and a fair number of big jumbo's too. Right on the bottom with a small spoon tipped with a minnow head usually works best for me.

Good Luck wherever you go!!
