Has anyone had any luck with crappie on the bay or anywhere in the area? If any guidance on where to go.

Try Chemong lake off points away from causeway as its a fish sanctuary just look at regs think its 300m but small jigs with minnows bite is lethal just before dark

I've never targeted them, (hard or softwater) so I'm no help there, but I can tell you there a tons of them in Rice Lake. I catch them all the time fishing for walleye/bass in the boat. Not sure of the regs for crappie on Rice. Maybe different from zone 20.

Good Luck!!

If you want to try Rice Lake for Crappie please stick near Bewdley until you know EXACTLY where you can go with or without a machine. It is very unforgiving up here I live on the exit of the lake in the mouth of the Trent. The lake has a nasty current and there is only one safe crossing area on the lake (snowmobile trail) unless you really know otherwise its usually swimming time. Best spot for crappie is down there anyway. the bait shop has lots of little minnows as well. Good luck.

Guys,

On Rice Lake, Crappie are open all year long, with a possession and daily limit of 30. That is the same as Quinte area.

There are many Crappie lakes in the Quinte area. Someone may PM you one if you are lucky.

I'm from Kingston and just about every lake north of us has Crappie. Of course, not many give away their spots.

You can try Dog Lake, Sydenham Lake, Collins Lake, or Loborough Lake, etc .......

Good Luck,
