not many people catch a male that size even if not the weight posted still a trophy to bragg about better then a female that size any day! No one else iced or caught a jack as grand this year or last from what seen. :

without cutting the fish open, there is NO way to tell if that is male or female walleye. nice fish

Landshark - next time you're up this way, keep 4 fish and I'll clean them for you. $50/fish for every walleye I can't correctly distinguish male/female. For everyone I get right, you pay me $10. Deal?

Here's 14.55lbs (not mine) and I think yours fits inside, but you still had a great fish to pull outta a hole ....

In all fairness.... Your comparing a great hold for a pic to a terrible hold on the OP fish... Also the size of the person matters.... I'm a big guy and my fishing buddy is a little fella.... We can each take a pic with the same fish and you wouldn't believe the difference...

And no matter what... Most people including myself wouldn't believe a claim of a 17lb fish.... There are only a handful of people I would believe without pics on a tape measure... Weather yours was that big or not... It will be like a Bigfoot picture to most...
