Quinte Fishing

Great New Years Day spent out on the ice by the red can on west side of pointe anne. Was slow all day, my partner got 1 perch from 8-3. Then we moved a bit closer to the shoal and found a nice hole that produced 2 nice eyes about 5 lbs and 2 lbs back to back. Then I hooked into a nice northern pike which was my highlight of the day. Partner got another perch after that but we packed up soon after that leaving the ice at about 5:30pm. Great day on the bay even though the fishing was slow most of the day we got 5 fish on the ice. 2 perch and the big pike were put back but the 2 eyes were kept. About a foot of ice all around pointe Anne. Lots of pressure cracks around but guys are driving atvs all over .
