I am hooked on flashers. Just my new one today from radio world. Literally 2 days and had it delivered to the house. 4 fish tonight in an hour all because of my new flasher :$:):):)

Definitely a must. The flasher is my best friend on the ice. It gives so much information if you can read it. Would never leave home without it for ice fishing especially fishing the boq. Plus its so fun to watch.

Cheers steelheadbum

Don't leave home without it. My vex is the difference between catching and not catching fish.

I don't own one and am still doing just fine. A flasher is nice but they don't bring fish to you, you still have to know where the fish are in order for your flasher to tell you they are there, kind of moot at that point. I nice option but not a must IMO. (Frustrating when you see them and they won't bite too)

I 10000000000000000000000000000% agree. Don't know how I use to fish without one back then. Ice Fishing Xbox is so much fun!

Nobody told me the bite was off? When did it turn off? My 15 year old daughter even pulled her first Quinte golds through the ice last night, nice 3 pounders. A couple other guys fishing close with all their electronics went home empty handed, but I guess they were told that anyways so no surprise. lol The wind was wicked but the Frabill 2 man flip kept us warm. Large pressure cracks forming out there so be careful.

Yep,

That's the usual refrain from guys who don't have flashers or electronics.

Easy meatsticks,
Its true at times. I got a buddy who doesnt have a flasher and yesterday morning he had the hot hand while 3 of us with flashers looked on. We all got fish but it was obvious the flasher wasnt home field advantage. Now that said 3 of the fish I caught yesterday I would NOT of caught without the flasher.

I am in no way bashing flashers here, I just personally would not buy one and mostly because I am not the seriously intense ice fisherman some of you guys are. I ice fish because it is a long time between soft water seasons and the only fish I will eat have to come out of cold water and having to young adult kids, 17 & 15 we don't eat much of those. I do well in satisfying that itch having lived on the bay all my life and don't need to spend the bucks. You can bet your butt my boat is rigged with electronics though.
