Fellow Fishers, I have both- two vexilars and a showdown and was wondering how many of you fishing Quinte use a showdown and how well does it work for you on those walleye?

I have a Vex and have used a Showdown but that was 4 years ago, they both help but you need to fish the hole and forget about the screen (IMO)or you will miss a lot of fish when you have them excited enough to play. Found the showdown just a little slower then the Vex. That said that was 4 years ago.

I have the showdown troller and it worked fine when I fished up there last year. I have started to jig so that my rod tip is in front of the screen so when your working a fish you can focus more attention to the rod tip..

I got a showdown troller last year and love it....haven't used it on BOQ as yet nut have on other bodies of water with success that I hadn't had before. It definatly makes the difference, I just don't fish enough to pay the big price tag of others bt could justify $139 at Bass Pro with this one.
