Went to Point Anne with my wife and 2 daughters, we fished in 15-20 FOW for about 2 hrs, got only 3 dinky ones but the girls had fun and experience they don't get playing with their iPods. Because of the winds, it was not an option to move the hut around like I usually do when alone. I am new to BOQ and was used to getting 40-50 perch days (even hit 100 one time!) back home in Lac Champlain and Baie Missisquoi in Quebec but am confident with the time and exploration, I will get to know BOQ. Even when I do poorly or get skunked, I STILL want to go out again. And again. I think I need to go out deeper...

+1 on shallow. Believe it or not but when you find them there are some very big jumbos out there.

I used to go out to Indian Island near Trenton for Jumbo's. I have been out there only once this year and it was a slow day with only dinks.
that was boxing day.
usually lots of hard huts out there, so far i have not seen any.

to access use Dufferin Ave just off the sharp corner of Hwy 33.
its a good hike if walking (1 klm)

my wife pulled a 15" out of there 2yrs ago.....biggest perch this northern boy had ever seen.

Pete's pt is another great location for perch. Fish shallow during the day for perch then walk out another 300yrds for the walleye bite at night. Good luck and welcome to the BOQ.

I know its not hard water fishing, but this was taken last June with my fishing buddy. He never had a charter booked, so we decided to go out. This was an exceptional day and just by luck I had the GoPro with me to record it.

I went out there Sunday, there was 3 perm huts, and a few guys with pop-ups, we caught a bunch of perch and so did the guys around us all small though.
