Good afternoon,

We are looking at heading out Friday for evening fish. Wonder if anyone can let us know ice coditions at Hershimer and if the fish are bitng there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Wife won't let me come home without at least 1 fish. Thanks.

Herchimer ice is atleast 12" under my hut. People are driving trucks out. Fishing has been on and off. I was doing ok last week than it died. Picked up again last weekend. Haven't been out since. Damn wind is cutting into my ice time. I will be back out tomorrow, winds are suppose to drop.

Good Luck! Maybe see you out there Friday!

Thanks for the info. Hopefully Friday will be an on time and not an off. With luck we'll run across you while we're out

I took this pic this beautiful but cold morning from the Herch dock, truck tracks seem to go to northeast direction. I saw only one team of bucket-sitters very far south-east, almost to the other side.

My bad - I meant truck tracks were heading south-east and the group were south-west of the dock, probably near Cow island.
