Anybody out on the depot lakes this year ??

Is the wet rain making it a mess like the northern lakes ?? Any luck ??

Still trying for my first Ling, thanks for any and all replies. Tight lines !!!!!!!

You are trying to catch one of those things on purpose? I've caught them by accident and didn't want anything to do with them....come to think of it, they didn't want much to do with me either...get that out of the hut!!!!haha

I agree. They are a cod. Tried them myself for the first time last year and will never throw one back again!

I've caught them on lake joe in Muskoka pretty wild fight and Nasty looking they make the old flasher light up really cool lmao

Wolfe lake near westport is full of them and some nice eyes. You catch them while ice fishing walleye there frequently.

We always parked along side of the road along with everyone else at wolf lake !

Shabomeka Lake just north of Clyone is full of them. Good sized lakers too.

I've fished Wolfe Lake for Years, practically grew up fishing there in the summer months. Never knew Ling were in there. Never caught one anyway. I've never icefished it either but always wanted to. Never knew of anyplace open to stay in the winter months. Nobody I knew ever talked about them being there either. Maybe it was a well kept secret until now. haha.

Wolfe Lake is tempting but already have an hour 1/2 / 2 hr drive. Wanted to try the Depot Lakes again, noboby has been fishing it here it seems. Thanks for all the other comments and pics though guys.

almost all the lakes in haliburton are full of them, i didn't know how to properly cook them until last year, never again did i think of releasing one, lol.

if you are fishing specifically for ling , they bite best at night and most lake trout lakes have them
