I also cut the back one off which makes landing fish easier

I always use to cut them of ,, but have been leaving them on all season . I have had fish stay hooked on only the front and back hooks. So now I don't cut them. I lose some at the hole but also catch them on just those hooks sometimes. so for me it doesn't matter !!!

I saw a YouTube vid with Italo fishing near Belleville. The guy he was with nipped the front hook off but also superglued a rattler in the centre of the tail fin. Does any one else do this?

If you find they are giving you a problem, then I'd say cut them off. If you're worried about losing fish, replace the factory treble with a larger size. #4 or 6 I believe. I would guess most of the fish are hooked on the treble hook anyways, and a larger hook would give you a higher hookup%

I do the same, cut the front hook one off and glue a rattle under the fins on the back, haven't had much confidance in them untill late , been using the snap rap and getting some nice fish,

I don't cut anything off. I got 2 today on the front hook!! For the amount of fish you could possibly lose I don't think it's worth it. I would rather get a hookup and lose a fish at the hole then miss a bite altogether. Just my view.
