Hey everyone,

I am heading out to Big Island tomorrow morning, leaving Peterborough no later than 7am, so hoping to be there about 9. Any idea on the ice? Feel free to stop on by- orange ice hut will likely be set up. First time out this year on the bay.

Cheers

I also am heading out from Wager's as well and hope to be on the ice for 7. I'm not sure of the color of my buddies hut but I will be driving the Green honda atv. Feel free to stop by. Good Luck

After some messing around, we made it out around 8 and ended up 3 for 3 with my buddy catching a hog somewhere in the 12 lb area and me getting a 7 and a 3lber.
Bites came at 9, 1030 and 11 with some more marks for a little bit after that. Next time we're planning on a full day on the ice for sure.

BTW saw your orange hut on the way off the ice, hope you did alright.

Well, made it out on the ice about 920ish, and well got squat except for a few jumbo perch- Saw quite a few huts out further to my right wondering if the bite was hotter over that way? Guess i just wasn't in the right sopt! Any tips for next weeked? My dad is coming down for the first time ice fishing and I hope to set him onto some good fish!

Yes Swiftdeer the spot you want is east of where you were set up. If you have access to navionics you will see that its quite a bit deeper to the east. We were in 20 fow where we were.
Good luck next time out.
