After talking about it for a few years now, Dan and I finally met up this morning with Trophyhunter and headed out from Huffs Rd. We were set up by first light and at 6:50, Dan struck gold first with a nice 8.6 lber in 16 FOW. After a quick picture, it was back down the hole. He followed that one up with a couple of nice eaters over the next hour. He must have felt sorry for me not getting one so thankfully he came over gave me a quick lesson on catching walleye.

I guess I learned fast as minutes later I ended up with a nice piece of gold myself in 19 FOW. A quick picture of that one and back down the hole. Dan asked me what it weighed and I quickly replied 8.7 lbs. He just laughed at me.Yes Dan, You got the bragging rights!

Things died off for us after that and we left around noon with Trophyhunter still on the hunt out on the ice.

Thanks again Dan. I had a great day out there today and look forward to getting out aga

A golden day, with a couple of golden guys, with their gold. That's what it's all about.
A great day Dan and Dave.
