I think guest 1 has some good points. If you are not a union employee or never have been one, then your point of view is going to be somewhat biased. As is a union employee's point of view. However this board is for fishing information, stories etc. It is not an OPSEU bulletin board nor is it an OPSEU bashing board. It seems some contributors are genuinely happy that they can pin the downturn in the fishery on not only the natives, the management at the MNR but now striking OPSEU members get their name added to the dance card as well. I am not going to go into the how would you feel if someone played with your pension, wages, or benefit's stuff, but let's remember, these are members of our community and they would rather be back at work. Just my 2 cents.

Just for the record I have been a unionized worker in the past, and unfortunately have lost 3 jobs because of it. I wish everyone great progress in this strike, but unfortunately I have heard rumours that we may be loosing our MNR presence from the Glenora Office. I hope this is just that, a rumour, because we all know how badly we need these folks and more, back on the water. Shouldn't be long and we will have have GREAT fishing stories to tell on the site.
