My friend forgot to renew his license, his card is expired now so he called and bought a new 3 yr they said they're mailing it out and he should receive it in 6 weeks. Now that he's paid for a license is there a way he can get a temp to come out fishing in the meanwhile?

Thanks

Should have done it online. Then you can print it. I would assume they could email a temp perhaps?

Your only other option is going to a service Ontario office. If he'd done that to start with he'd have the temp already. Got my new card earlier this week. Took about 2 weeks as advertised.

You don't even really need to do it online. I renewed my licence at a local tackle shop where I live, they gave me a temporary card, and I had my new card in the mail within 2 weeks. No phone calls, no computer.....keep it simple...lol

Go to Service Ontario. They will have his renewal info in the system and can issue a temporary card or receipt.

Think you will have to do the service ontario thing. Unless you possibly can go on the mnr site online and print a new tempary?

My buddy was out on Sunday and did not have his license with him and was stopped. Luckily for him he found his receipt from C.Tire that said hunting/fishing license on it and the officer who stopped him gave him a break because of it. He packed up and left after that just in case the next guy was not so understanding. After talking with him he said he only has his new card now and does not have the yellow sheet that he received as a temp. My card that expires in 2015 also has the yellow sheet I received when I renewed for 2014 at C.Tire. I have not seen his new card but am curious do the cards issues in 2014 need the yellow sheet that replaced the stickers on the old outdoors cards or is it only required when it is renewed for the following years? It was my understanding there was two parts to the license and he is missing half of it. BTW sorry for hijacking the thread just figured it was another license question and would fit.

Not sure if this helps but I just renewed my card with my three year fishing and three year small game licence and both of them were printed right on the card. No more yellow sheets for me.

funny thing , a buddy of mine did the same thing and is patiently ( ?? ) waiting for his to arrive . He phoned today as it should have been here by now and it turns out that they mailed his to the wrong address and said he may have it in another 3 weeks
