Not sure what Rap. "spoon" your talking about but the snap rap, jigging rap, jigging shadrap style belong in every ones box. Still experimenting with the Rippin'&Clackin' Raps. The Blue fox RattleFlash and Lil'Finn "SPOONS" have produced well for me. Hope that helps.

Is your rapala minnow spoon rigged with a single or treble hook? I have a few of them mine are all single hook rigged weedless, but i have seen some rigged with a treble. Not exactly intended as a vertical jigging spoon but hey if it has a treble give it a shot.

Anyone know if there is stock of the Blue fox RattleFlash anywhere in Kingston? a little embarrassing but I bought one a few weeks ago, took it out on the ice, tied it up and hooked on a minnow plop there it goes down the hole with my line sitting there empty at the end of my rod. I did not even get to try it out. I don’t know what happened but am thinking there must have been a sharp edge on the eye of the lure that cut the line when I tied it on. The only thing other than that I can think of and I am pretty sure I did not do is when I went to trim the excess line off like an idiot I cut the main line instead. I cut the excess off before I hooked up the minnow and figure I would have noticed was not attached to my rod before I dropped it down the hole if this was the case, but who knows… If anyone finds or has found one in glow fire tiger in the mouth of a fish let me know if it has a piece of line on it or not as I am still scratching my head wondering if I did it, lol. It was at Sherman’s point a couple weeks ago.
