Despite the horrible weather mother nature sent our way this weekend I had the best weekend of fishing on Quinte yet! Started on Thursday, did great at the bridge near Ferry lane only one other truck at the ramp. Talked to a nice old lady and got one 11 lb and one 9 lb. released both. Fished Desoronto Friday morning and got squat. Ice was sketchy where I was so I had to back up to solid stuff. only perch.
Quinte Gold was caught at every hole I drilled on Hay Bay. Even landed a new personal best with a 14 lb 4 oz. muther. Released her back to her world and kept anything under 4 lbs for eating. Pink and white Blade bait in one hole for attention getting and silver "Pimple" with two mudder heads. Even caught one on a C.P. Swing spinner with just a perch eye on it. Had a Marcum 385c in combination with my Elite5 ice machine. Perch were everywhere but not jumbos. Had to anchor the clam to keep it from spinning or flipping over, a little extra work in crappy weather but it was worth it. Can't wait for next year. I may just make another solo trip in a few weeks if I can get away.

I'm sorry to say I had no camera with me. Forgot it, Believe me when I say I kicked my own butt all the way home. I have a habbit of always forgetting something when I go out on the ice and this time it was the camera. Uggg!
