Hey guys,

Heading up to Quinte this Friday and were staying at Baycrest. I was wondering how the ice was in the Telegraph narrows as we were thinking of fishing in that area. We have a snowmachine so I was hoping we could drive right from Baycrest to our spot.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Was fishing off County Shores last saturday and probably had a good 12"+ of ice. The snow drifts on the other hand were a bit of a pain in the butt. Saw a few out with ATV's. Just be careful where you head.

The narrows are a high current area, I would approach that area with caution.put a snowmobile threw the ice there when I was young and foolish. I was very lucky that day and have learned to have much more respect for the bay. I have been fishing the Bay of Quinte area for 30 years and have some great memories , that was not one of them. But it is the one I remember most. I am heading out tomorrow morning with my son who is 30 years old now and am looking forward to putting him on some good fish as this is his first time out this year.
Good luck & Stay safe
Leo.
