Ok boys. I bought a new auger and it requires two cycle engine oil. It needs to be 50:1 and I have a2.5 gallon judge of gas. How much of that oil to I put in to make it 50:1 ?:)

2.5 galllons is about 9.5L so just under 100mL of oil about 94mL shouldnt matter down to the decimal

20ml of oil per litre. 2.5 gallons x 4.5(litre per gallon)=11.25 litres. 11.25 x 20ml = 225 ML of oil.

don't mix that much up, it will take you 7 seasons to use it.

American gallon or Canadian gallon? An American gallon is 3.78 litres, Canadian like Dave said is 4.5 litres.
If its a Canadian gallon use what Dave said, if an American gallon use 2.5 gallonsx3.78=9.45 litres, 9.45litres mixed to 50:1 = 189ml of oil.

Just take how many litres you use, double it and add a zero for 50:1 ratio. ie. 5 litres of high test gas - 5+5=10 then add a zero = 100. You would use 100ml of oil.

that should be relatively close for you. if anything mix it lean rather then heavy.

Hope this helps

I usually just go over to my neighbors boat, with the wifes turkey baster, and steal his mixed gas. Works great!
When I come off the ice, I stop at the dollar store and buy her a new baster. She has no clue.

Like Landshark said, the gas will go bad if you mix that much.

I put 20 ml oil into a one liter of gas in a one liter empty plastic oil jug. (50:1 mix) Your tank is probably about one liter and whatever bit is left if any, cap it and carry along with you. I filled up mine this way and so far I have drilled about 40 holes and still have half a tank left. It's easy to carry one liter in the oil jug if you think you'll drill 100 holes a day out there and you won't have all that extra mixed gas going bad on you.
