bought flasher used it first time at huff's seen red fish on ice.lot of fish gonna have sore mouths.
knowing is better than hoping fish are under you. :D

I've tried fishing without one, and after you have one its almost impossible. Just knowing when to jig properly makes such a difference in the ones on the ice vs still swimming around.

Agreed, I got out fished 5 - 1 last weekend by buddy no sonar and a a broken pole (he had to set the hook with two hands) then hand bomb it up..... Me with flasher and I went 1 for 4!!! now he calls himself the "eye guy" But I would not go on the ice without it!!

This is my 3rd or 4th year now with a flasher, and couldn't imagine fishing without it, but I must say my girlfriend who fishes blind beside me in the hut will catch at least the same, if not more than I do. Like WW said, maybe I just try too hard when a fish comes on the screen. Maybe trying to get them "chase" isn't always the best approach. Sometimes they just like the ole lift and drop I guess...lol
