after posting my question, a few board members responded with some great info, thanks guys.I ended up at Massassauga point at 545 on sat morning. After meeting couple guys in the parking lot (Justin n his buddy) went straight out about 50 yards in 20 fow didn't catch. When sun came up and could finally see the green can in the distance I knew that's were I wanted to be so packed up n headed that way. The walking wasn't bad if you stuck to a worn down path.I ended up about 30 yards west of the can in 18fow. Around 9am cought my first walleye at 4lbs on a slver and flourecent 3/8 ounce buckshot with 1 minnow hooked to sit horizontal to the jigging lure. Many perch after that on same set up then another walleye about 3lbs at about 530pm time to leave.Ice was pretty good some soft stuff on top but about 12 in of good ice under neath heard from others that the ice in the middle was sketchy so please stay away from middle of channel.Anyway that's the end of quinte season for me thanks again to the guys that helped me out on this trip and everyone else on this forum for a lot of great info, great job, good luck n please be safe out there
