We are making our annual brother bonding trip again this year on the 18th - 21st and staying again at Sunset Farms and Cabins. From reading previous posts and locations there seems to be a quite the snow accumulation on the ice. We plan on bringing the quad again and we like to fish slightly to the east of Big Island near Q43 buoy and near Bluff Pt as well.

Any info or concerns on the snow or ice conditions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jim

What is wrong here, 177 views and not even 1 reply. Its not like I wanted to know where you catch your fish, how deep, or even what you caught it on. Just wanted to know about snow accumulation in that area and conditions.

I was on the Bay 2 weeks ago, and the snow was deep then. Since then, there has been another foot of snow landed. (Last Wednesday/Thursday) Maybe give Sunset Farms a call, and they may be able to give you more accurate details on the conditions where they are located. It's tough for everybody....

Hey boss. Not sure about the conditions up Big Bay way but from reading other posts it's been tough even getting out with quads because of all the snow and slush underneath. However hopefully with the cold temps we've been having that the snow has hardened up a bit or other people have made tracks. Hopefully everything works out for you and your trip is a good one. Good luck.

I'm sure you'll get some better idea of conditions after the weekend, someone will let you know, if the post gets to low down the board on sunday or monday give it a bump.
