made the long drive to Quinte with the wife Tuesday ( she was good enough to volunteer her long track sled ), fished Trenton Tuesday evening, lots of ice, lots of snow but no fish , not one even marked. Wednesday morning too cold to start to early , got out to George street around 830, 6 inches of snow 10 inches of slush maybe 4 inches of black ice, marked perch and watched them on the fish cam play with the jigs, no eyes came in around 6 , I think the ice will be gone quickly there, Thursday off to point anne about two-three feet of snow but a lot of ice also, I would think if you don't have a snowmobile you wont get far, got into some jumbo perch, they kept us busy until 5 then in came the eyes, 8 in an hour , our limit, plus lost 3 , no trophies all eaters , that for us is ideal fishing day , we think perch are as good eating as eyes, so if you go on quinte catch fish all day with out a slow time, well you cant get better then that! good luck everyone
