Right now I'm able to get a Rapala Sherpa M2 for $169 but was wondering if anybody had any experience with them good/bad and also how they compare to the new FatShack. Trying to decide on whether to get the Sherpa at a decent price or pay full price for the FatShack. Not sure if there is a difference in quality or if its just the amount of room inside?

I have a sherpa 2 used 8 times and broke 2 poles last time Rapala very good at sending new poles no questions asked. BUT I also have a clam Bigfoot XL2000 (4 man) and you can feel the quality difference in the set up take down.. very smooth and much stronger feel. I talked to the folks at Sail regarding what they see comming back broken, and they say without a doubt the clams are far superior to any other brand.

I have a 3man Sherpa and its great. The trick is to anchor the 4 corners before u set it up. Then pop the roof then the sides. When taking down, pop the sides first then the roof, then take your anchors out. The 3 man has lots of room for 2people and all their gear.

I forgot to mention, I paid 199.00 at sail. Go the 3 man instead of the two, you'll be glad you did.
