Fished west end this morning and marked lots of fish but very tight lipped. Fishn shallow in 10 ft. Cymbals managed to coax a 3 lber but that's it. Some real hog marks but very finicky.

Same here! Fished Bain, and though I tend to fish blind neither my dad or I caught anything. Had an idea to move in closer as there was a deep nine foot hole a little off shore so thought why not and drilled a couple of holes. Puled out a tiny perch not much bigger than my lure- good thought but didn't pay off. May try some local water (peterborough) in the morning and come back for late afternoon! Hope others did better. (The orange hut was up- then down)

Fished behind Bay Marine today. Got out at 130, marked lots but no takers- until 330.
Up came a 6 lber. Then some more marks and another one the same size.
Lots of ice, probable 18 inches, lots of snow, had to walk out with snowshoes.
Fish came on a blue and gold spoon, 2 minnows and braid line with no leader. They seemed to bite when I was bouncing it off the bottom.

I've seen the same thing over the last week. I've caught 41 'eyes so far this winter and I'm not used to coming off without hooking up but the bite has been abnormal since I caught 2 last Sunday. A couple more weeks to go so good luck and lets hope there's a change in their appetite!.

I also found good response from pounding the bottom , but still had a hard time getting bites. Marked lots out at bayside but only landed three .

Huff's Saturday afternoon produced very few marks and those were clearly not interested. This is very abnormal from what I've seen in the past.
